Momstown Oakville visits Abbey Eye Care

Book Appointment Online

Thanks to Momstown Oakville for visiting Abbey Eye Care today. It was wonderful to have everyone in the office. We explained some fun facts to the kids about the eyes and vision. We started with what foods are healthy for the eyes and then went over what to expect during your first eye exam.

We made our own glasses using pipecleaners and looked at the model eye to see what is inside of our eyes.

We also showed what a contact lens is and what magnifiers and binoculars do.

We then talked about the importance of kids protecting their eyes from UV radiation or sunlight. Because we fell so strongly about that we gave everyone a free pair of sunglasses to wear this summer.

So fun to have the group visit our office today!
